End:

Description:
The Event:  The Dayton Chapter of the National Contract Management Association has Ms. Brewer under contract to tell us all about the new organization and the capability it provides the US Air Force – the world’s most powerful Air Force.

Background:  The GLSC(P), “P” for provisional, stood up 7 May 2007 at Wright Patterson AFB. The GLSC will be the AF Supply Chain Management process owner for the Air Force. It will function as the Air Operations Center for supply chain management providing enterprise planning, global command and control and a single focal point, all in support of the full range of military operations.  The GLSC organization reports directly to the AFMC Commander and will perform three primary roles of supply chain management: Supply Chain Planning and Execution; Supply Chain Operations; and Supply Chain Strategy and Integration. The formal GLSC capability is scheduled to stand up officially in FY08.

Speaker:  Ms. Trixie Brewer, Deputy Director Global Logistics Supply Chain Provisional – Ms. Brewer has extensive experience in the acquisition career field holding four different certification levels (Science and Engineering, Logistics, Program management, and Test & Evaluation).  Her depth of experience in Supply Chain and Lean initiatives is substantial helping make her one of the experts and obviously the right person for her current role as Deputy Director in the GLSC(P).  She has served as Chief or Deputy Division Chief in her last four assignments including Supply Chain Management, Capabilities Integration, Depot Maintenance Operations, and Production & Execution.  Additionally, she has broad experience working in the Aging Aircraft, Supply Operations, Manufacturing Technology, Depot Maintenance Transformation & Lean Implementation organizations.  Please come join us as she addresses the standup of the GLSC (P) and its role in improving how the US Air Force does business into the future.
